Grade: B+. Textbook: Yes. Prof. Pazner was easily one of the worst professors I've had. No offense if you're reading this professor Pazner. His lecture style is incredibly confusing, is wishy washy with his explanations when you ask him questions. He can never give a clear answer.Grade: A+. Textbook: No. Prof. Misuraca is a really nice lady, but I will say that I nodded off in all of her lectures. She basically recites the textbook in her lectures, but somehow manages to drag each chapter out for 3-4 weeks each. If you read the chapters according to her syllabus, you will be 3+ chapters ahead of her lectures. The worst professor I've ever had at Portland State. I'm an A student, but failed both of his exams that covered 7 and 5 chapters respectively. Discussion posts are graded how he feels, & were on AI programs that he is clearly afraid of. Exam questions were terribly worded and trying to trick students. Reuses outdated course materials. DON'T TAKE.

He is tremendously thoughtful about historical method and narrative, and his knowledge and expertise range across many regions and subfields.
