Sep 4, 2019 · Actually, those codes (p2121 & p2271) don't exist. They must be B2121 and B2271, both of which are BCM codes. B2121 is "starter output open and B2271 is "BCM voltage low". You either have a bad BCM or a wiring problem between the BCM and the starter. Since you checked voltage at pin L2 on the BCM to be low, that seems to be the place to start. Ran the bike through Diagnostic mode BCM provided codes with part number. Ran the part number and it illustrated BCM. When my stator burned up over voltage codes came up and BCM code also showed. HD Tech said it happens.Looked up the stored fault code: B2161 which turns out to be 'brake lamp output open'.
