It's similar or better than addy darts blowpipe on low def monsters, and bp wins with better darts. Bow is generally very strong against high def targets, but will lose to tbow if the target has very high magic. It's bis in a couple places like vespula and mystics, probably others too.

The armor calculation is armor / (armor+300) so if you had 100 armor, and guardian triggered (+900) you'd have 1000 / 1300 = 77% reduction.
For mains, zcb+masori is 2% better against a raid level high hp target than bowfa+crystal until 20% hp. Then it becomes 15%+ worse for the remainder of the fight compared to full crystal bowfa. (Calculated against the last boss of TOA) Overloaded stats. I did not test whether this is different without rigour, nor did I test masori+bowfa.

Zulrah and bandos will be your best bet with it, can also mix in some giant mole when your just trying to chill a little. I recently did this and am rebuidling through slayer, only do it if you're cool with losing 25mil through crystals. Love my bofa though, currently at 93 range working towards 99.

The fbow has armour considerations for learners who use defence as a crutch, and 4 tick attacking messes some people up following the zuk shield. Helm is worth like 12% zuk dps compared to justi or veracs. That's a huge difference. You can also lazy flick with quick prayers as fbow.

Consider that the crystal helm is about as good with bowfa as nezzy is for melee, so if you think it's worth it to bring nezzy to raids, you should also think it's worth it to bring crystal helm. How about this. Take a break from CG. Go do the content you would be doing without the helm for a few weeks then come back to CG.

Expand the Crystal armour set to function with the Blade of Saeldor and Crystal halberd as well to start with though, it never made sense to me why it wouldn't.
