It is no more or less cheapish than any other rifle Both are good, it depends on which traits are more important to you I wouldn't pick a Remington over either the Ruger or Tikka at 1/2 the price. The Tikka is one of the best rifles you can get for less than 1k. I'd say it's the best. The Savage is okay for a budget or beginner rifle, but they go on sale close to Christmas for 250-300 bucks.
