Ballistics show the HST 124gr to have a penetrating depth of 18.3" and an expansion of .61" while the HST 147gr penetrates 15.2" and also expands to .61". HST 147gr is going to give you better overall ballistics. Better penetration, better expansion, easier to handle recoil, etc. 147gr 9mm is subsonic so it's less flippy and less noisy than a +P round, as well as more reliable expansion since the bullet is a bit heavier and isn't travelling ridiculously fast.
