Basic battle art of most greatsword is also quite bad. But the worst part about it, as i said already, was the range. Regular greatswords are already as short as straight swords in this game, and drakeblood is even shorter. Because of that, it's not worth it if you want a real weapon. Moonlight Great sword is an amazing weapon due to the fact that you only have to buff intelligence to really soft cap its dmg while pretty much every other weapon in the game will not be able to soft cap so easily.
