Vans are skate shoes so it’s ideal to have a flat bottom and minimal cushioning for the board feel (skaters correct me if I’m wrong) and is exactly the reason why I wear Vans for lifting. I think it’s more the result of it being designed for a specific function, rather than lack of quality?
