It will be listed in the post raid screen, if you killed a PMC. If you collect their dogtag, their name and level will be listed aswell. (You will never know if the scavs were players or bots) If it's a player scav it'll say their scav name and then player name. Eg. Jon smith (xd-noscopedkid)

I have been playing a lot of scav lately trying to get scav karma and just having a great time in 9/10 raids I'm trading loot and joking around with other cheeki breeki's. I want to try and get an extract together with a PMC for that sweet sweet karma and the fence rewards but haven't had any luck so far. Voice lines are the only sure way. Ask them with voip, if they say they are scav/pmc you ask them to press F1 to make their character talk, if they don't they're normally lying. One disadvantage of going scav is you don't shoot anyone you see. Just shoot everyone on sight, join the dark side.
As PMC you probably have a less chance of dying to scav players just because of this. I do agree that we players need the same ability as AI scavs to know who to shot and not. Later on you can try to kill some raiders or rogues, but the best way to play early on is to run away and extract with any shit.
As a fairly new player, with all the clothing iterations for both PMC's and Scavs it's impossible for me to tell the difference without first analysing the small details in their clothing. SCAV ai will not have a pouch slot. SCAV player will have a pouch slot. PMC characters will have a dogtag on their body, there is some customization they can make to their character after a higher level. That's after they are dead. He's asking about when they are still alive. Car extracts give good scav karma. Pmc/scav combo extracts give good scav karma. So you can get 3.5ish rep from those then you also get 1.1 rep from fence at level 50. After that you just need to survive around 150 times or kill a few PMCs / Traitor scavs. I try this every day and so far nobody cares. Experience will help you. As a rule of thumb don't shoot at all unless they fire at you and you get wounded. Your scav will be the same level as your PMC. Skill levels will be different though. I have done like 250 Scav raids. 200 of those if not more are just in and outs of Factory to take whatever I spawned in with. Not true, in a scav run you can check the "character" tab and your scav will have his own separate progression.
