Generic Trade is based in Illinois, USA and offers a flat fee commission of $0.59 per side for futures contracts and options on futures. Tradovate has pretty good commission structure, you can do "Active trader" or "Commission free" membership either monthly or yearly. I do the active trader, which is about $80/month and I get $0.19/contract fees. Tradovate charts are awful compared to ToS, so I end up using ToS charts and use Tradovate to place my orders and executions. Tradovate doesn't like my Reddit post, so they'll "consider" refunding my money if I claim it's not their fault. I'm in the market for a new broker. Ninjatrader and Tradovate are two complete different systems. Let me explain NInjatrader is a locally runned program. Meaning it runs on your computer, where as tradovate is a web based application so it runs on the web. The one thing that ninjatrader has over tradovate is that it allows you to pretty much connect to any broker of your choice.
