Maglock rifle.

This was a maglock I purchased several years ago with haste to comply to California regulations. Its a very simple design that replaces a traditional Magazine release with a poorly machined mess of a metal rod that presses against the upper receiver, forcing you to open the rifle to allow to to depress the release and thus; drop the magazine. No maglock system I know of should interfere with the operation of the rifle while the recievers are closed. There is an issue of some maglock systems preventing you from dropping a mag with an open bolt and clearing malfunctions, but not all have this issue. AR Mag Lock- There are two different ways to install one. First WITHOUT the washer. This allows you to release the mag when the rifle is split apart. This is probably the most risky of all the fixed mag routes. Secondly WITH the washer.
