HEY GUYS--I was in a pawn shop today & saw an old 39A .22 rifle on the rack. The serial number was 1221. There was not a letter prefix in front of the 1221. Examples; 20xxxxxx is 1980, 05xxxxxx would be 1995, your 93xxxxx is 2007. However, prior to 1968, there were letter codes for the year, except for non-39A rimfires.
