Oct 24, 2021 · So what should I do about packet loss occurring on my AT&T fiber line? I know its 100% related to the lines, being in Galveston, and its definitely worse with foul weather (water in the lines?). When its "good", its normally a bit over 2%, still absolutely terrible for gaming, but fine for streaming my kids shows and whatnot.
Discord streams are often unaffected when this loss occurs (e.g. 25% loss on incoming voice, often 0-1% at most on video streams). It comes and goes throughout the day. For games: the issue shows up intermittently, typically in 10 minute or so intervals with varying amounts of perfect connection in between.Fiber Internet Jitter and Packet Loss.
