Jun 6, 2006 · 454 Cam Selection. I am replacing the cam in my 454 engine. I'd like to put a nice street cam in the engine. Not race but a nice lope and a few more horsepower. It would be a hydraulic flat tappet cam. The heads are 1967 396/427 heads and are stock. The block is a standard 1977 454 stock block. It has been punched .060 over.

Cast crank,scorpion rockers,Lunati voodoo 60203 cam, and a Holley 750 dp.. Th400 with a 3000 stall and 4.10 gears.. Just a mild build but it should be a neat little cruiser.
