Even if you could do the complete engine swap from the v6 for 10k that is 1/4 the price of a marked down SRT8. 12k sound right for a factory new 5.7 with mds and computer. Then another 4k for the tranny, unlikely that the rear axle is the same in the v6 vs. the 5.7 so there's another 2k.

Someone did a Viper V10 swap into a 300 back in SEMA 2008 but was never able to get it to run right because of all the electronics issues. Preliminary tests show that an Automatic 3.6 Pentastar Chrys;er 300 produces only 255** rear wheel HP (WHP) in stock form. With a RIPP Supercharger installed, one can expect 425WHP+ and 360ft/lbs** of Torque on a factory 3.6 Pentastar. That WHP is higher than a 5.7 V8 Engine swap costing thousands more, and is more in line with a 6.4 HEMI.
