Hey guys, I am just wondering how can i use this option, as pushing B and 2xR is not really working for me (those are my bindings). Did tried with Taru and a ghosthawk, but nothig, no ropes are getting out of the chopper. Also assistant is not doing the thing for me (right control+B), i only get a bullseye with a "ready" below it, but nothing really happens.
Point your gun and shoot, just make sure you're going fast enough to not get shot back at. Also make sure you are in a good position so that anti air doesn't fire at you. BFM teaches you that throttle doesn't matter, in AFM throttle matters at every speed even you are flying straight. It takes far more concentration and skill to fly AFM. personally i bind pitch and roll to my mouse (nose down mouse up + X , nose up mouse down + C , mouse left roll left + Q , mouse right roll right + E ) and A and D for pedals (A left, D right) W and S for thrust (W increase, S decrease ) and speed break control s. i find using a more precise input with pitch and roll allows for a higher degree of accuracy, C ,X ,Q and E allow you to still free ...

DayZ SA definitely made cars harder than Arma by making them manual, but I'd be surprised if they do anything too stupid with helis (such as Arma 3's advanced flight model). There is a learning curve, and it will never be Battlefield easy. But you can master them just fine with keyboard and mouse.
