Just got Borderlands GOTY edition like a lot of others on this board and chose Lilith as my 2nd character (played a bit with Roland and found him a bit boring) due to her main weapon being SMGs. After a bit of initial confusion regarding skills I decided to consult a FAQ, which promptly stated that the only good Lilith build is a non-elemental one.

I think it makes the game better. Thats what its all about is making a build that can destroy your enemies and keep you alive. Lilith just makes this goal easier.
