Use a torque wrench to tighten the cap to proper torque of 10 inch pounds. Don't use the plastic wrench that came with the red dot, it's useless. Like others said, starburst dot might be astigmatism. And I've never shut the Romeo off in that time. I practice draw it at least daily, and shot it at the range yesterday. Has always lit up. But today the battery finally died.
