Description. South of this location, Arizona State Route 67 is CLOSED to all vehicle traffic for the winter, Jacob Lake is located at the junction of U.S. Route 89A and Arizona State Route 67. The North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park, 44 miles south of Jacob Lake, is scheduled to reopen on May 15, 2024. Shown is the Jacob Lake Inn parking lot.To begin, from S. Milton Road, turn right on W Forest Meadows Street, and turn left onto Arizona 89A. Driving south on US-89A, you enter the Coconino National Forest.
