The HK45 Compact is one of their most popular pistols and has been praised for its accuracy and reliability. Still wider than Glock, M&P or XD, but narrower than the old USP. Overall height is actually short but bore-axis is high. I usually carry my 1911 Commander but I've carried my HK45C for weeks at times. The difference is noticable but it is not that big an issue. It was actually more difficult to find a holster for it.The USP comes in a variety of sizes and calibers, with 9mm, .40 and .45 all represented. The USP Tactical version features a threaded barrel and a very high front sight so it can be used with a suppressor. Takedown of the USP Tactical is slightly more complicated than your standard Glock/XDM/M&P gun, but easier than a 1911.
