Thanks - don't want to pay more for the gun in accessories, but a couple are needed. Unfortuneately, the only magazines for the PF-9 are Kel Tecs. You might do a search on the internet to find a vendor selling them a bit cheaper. Sometimes Cheaper than Dirt has a sale on PF-9 mags that can save a couple of dollars.

To field strip, Just push the barrel/slide back an 1/8". force the rim of a case under the head of the asssebly pin. pop the pin and remove. pull the slide/barrel and spring forward and off the frame.
Remove the recoil spring and the barrel and you are done. Do not loosen the extractor spring screw. I have owned my PF9 for about 2 years. It was returned to the factory for trigger mechanism replacement about 14 months ago, and has failed again. Just nothing when you pull the trigger. On the plus side to the manufacturer, Kel-Tec’s service is known to be excellent and parts are cheap. The grip is awfully sharp without a mod.

New PF9, Trouble Reassembling. Bought my 1st Kel-tec PF9 the other day (NEW), fired a couple of hundred rounds today and disassembled it for cleaning. The problem is when putting it back together, the slide goes on nice and smooth I lock the slide back and insert the pin, release the slide, the slide doesn't go all the way forward.

Stupid me I forgot to look inside the barrel before I bought it, and after firing about 15 rounds or so, took it home and cleaned it.
