Well, a lot of romhacks make changes to how a Pokemon's stats are distributed or give them higher stats/new moves and abilities. Inclement Emerald gives Lumineon access to Quiver Dance and higher stats, for example. ROWE just converts the Pokemon 1 to 1. Which is boring to me, personally. Also, you don't get access to Mega Evolution until gym 7.

The soothe bell didn't seem very effective at speeding the process up. Eggs took extremely long to hatch in radical red compared to other rom hacks I played. I'm aware that Flame Body/Steam Engine/Magma Armor can reduce the time by 4x, but at that point two out of my six pokemon would not be very combat effective.
