Engine must spin to 140 RPM before it will fire. If those are the original batteries, I would be suprised if they are up to the task. Mine was loosing prime and would either stall or not start. I did 2 things to fix the problem. I rebuilt the primer on the fuel filter housing and replace the bleed screw on the filter housing. Loss of power, stuck in gear, hard shifts especially going Into reverse. I believe a bad tcm can also cause a no crank aswell but not 100% sure on this.

When it goes into reduced engine, the ECM turns off the injector on the cylinder that is knocking, and it goes away.
