NOX 5.56 WITH SHIMSIn my opinion, putting keymo on a Nomad defeats the whole purpose of the can. It ends up being the same weight and length as a Sandman but without the bomb proof internals. I would switch to Xeno, YHM Kurz, or Griffin Plan A. KeyMo on a Nomad L looks retarded and adds a lot of length and weight. The OSS/Huxwrx extended flash hider Triarc sells was built specifically to take a 13.9" to 16.1". I've shot this setup before without issue so it really shocked me when it happened. I'm usually paranoid constantly checking if the locking ring has budged when shooting any of Keymo equipped cans and burnt myself a few times checking the direct threaded ones. There are numerous threads about the pros and cons of different mounting systems. Plan A (Griffin taper), Plan B, Xeno, Dual-Lok, Keymo, YHM's ratcheting mount system (not sure it actually has a name), ASR, etc. are all different types of mounting systems that you can research. Discussion threads about which system is best come up all the time.

If I had things to do over, I would only buy HUB suppressors and generally use Xeno for everything with RH threaded muzzles, and Keymo for LH threaded muzzles. Xeno is small, light, and LH lockup, and my favorite mount system to date though Area 419, Rearden Atlas, and others make excellent micro taper mounts and QDs.I personally like having one mounting system for a silencer that can be used on more than one host, since you're already invested in the keymo system, I'd recommend selling the yhm mount and going keymo. With the long KeyMo muzzle devices you'll need to use the CGS QD Adapter.I quickly figured out the keymo doubled the weight of the turbo k and I didn't swap the cans around that much. I built a 14.5" p/w and went to Xeno on the turbo k and ended up having the same overall length and lost a couple ounces between the two uppers.
